Anemometer is the tool that is used to measure wind speed and its use are the most disparate. It can be used to collect information concerning weather, can be used by sailors to know the intensity of the wind and then choose the most suitable sailing, and can be used by those who want to know if it can be advantageous to install a mini wind power plant in a windy area and so on. Typically an anemometer does not cost less than 50 €, but if you do not have many claims you can always try to build one with an expenditure of about 10 €.

All you need is a bicycle, supermarkets can be found for less than 10 €, 2 or 3 ping pong balls, the sticks, a plastic tube, a cap, glue and silicone. To learn how to assemble these pieces follow the instructions in Italian.
